Samedi soir sur la Terre is Francis Cabrel‘s eighth album, released on 6 April 1994.

It remains the artist’s best-selling album and one of the best-selling albums in France.

Ma Petite Entreprise became a Bashung classic, and was covered in 2014 by Thomas Dutronc and Eddy Mitchell.

Superflu, the third album by Pascal Obispo and François Delabrière, came out in 1996, with several tracks co-written with the singer Isabelle de Truchis de Varennes aka Zazie.

In 1996, Matthieu Chedid gave birth to a character who foreshadowed « M » on a track on Billy Ze Kick’s album Paniac, entitled « M ».

On stage, Matthieu Chedid aka “M” plays a number of instruments: guitars, bass, keyboards and drums.

His first solo album, Le Baptême, came out in 1997, and introduced the M persona he had created for himself, with a haircut cut up to a point on the sides and a lock of hair in the middle of his forehead.

Big fan of funk music, he is often seen with his singing buddy Sinclair.

The folk rock group’s first album, Louise Attaque, was released in April 1997.
His lead singer and guitarist Gaëtan Roussel embarked on a very long musical career.

Fantaisie militaire, Alain Bashung’s tenth studio album, was released by Barclay in 1998.

The bretons Matmatah released La Ouache ! in 1998, which means : don’t hold back : go for it !
